Situated
at the crossroads of two Pennsylvania Byways—Route 144 and the
Bucktail Trail—Route 120, is the Flaming Foliage
Visitor’s Center in Renovo, Clinton County-home of the annual
Flaming Foliage Festival that brings thousands of visitors into
the Region to enjoy Mother Nature’s artistic talents.
The purpose of this
project was to further enhance the Flaming Foliage Festival
building for use as a visitor information center. Funding
for this project allowed for the creation of an ADA entrance
into the building, an ADA unisex restroom, placement of
knotty-pine walls with insulation, placement of a 30 gallon
water heater for the restroom water, purchase of

rustic brochure and magazine displays (using
products from within Lumber Heritage and PA WILDS region),
the purchase of picnic tables and benches for the property, a
new door for the entrance ofthe building and signage for the
property and the building.
The funding also
assisted in the addition of electrical improvements that will
supply electricity to venders during the Flaming Foliage
Festival and other community events.
The building is staffed
by volunteers through out the summer season to assist with the
needs of travelers.
